I rely on these kinds of reviews, and I am guilty of NOT writing them. This is one of the first times I have written an online review of a product... We bought this for our new brick patio. It looks great with our dark chocolate wicker furniture. It's the perfect size for a good sized fire. Not too big, not too small. It is very easy to assemble. Like any product with screws and washers, assemble sections loose for slight adjustments, then tighten everything down. We looked at copper bowls but this seems to make much better sense. It is already a dark flat black and I just know it will be easy to touch up with heat resistant black paint whenever I begin to see wear. The rain cover works better with the metal top in it's upright position. The instructions suggest inverting it...That just allows rain to collect. Put a small rag/towel under the plastic cover between it and the metal handle so as not to wear the plastic cover. Wind will get under it, so a brick or rock will hold it in place on the windiest days. The pit is very easy to clean. Just pick up the bowl and dump it. The outer table area stays cool even under the hottest fire. This product is better in real life than I expected...It was well packaged and I saw no damage to the unit upon opening the box.
